Just have to share… And just in time for Halloween!

We have received some really wonderful samples from Jean Sunderman of MN. They are all posted with full instructions!

Instructions are as follows.

Jean Cut out a 6″ card from black cardstock. She then cut her patterned paper slightly smaller. She stamped the cat, cut it out and set aside. She then stamped 3 pumpkins, colored with colored pencils, cut out and set aside. She cut out a 4.5″ by 4.5″ panel of striped paper, and matted to black cardstock. She attached ribbons to underside of black cardstock. She then mounted onto orange/purple cardstock. Once all was layered together she placed her cat onto top panel, and layered pumpkins onto and around the cat. She attached the hat to the cat using foam tape for a layered effect. Then stamped trick or treat to left side of the card front.

This card is so much fun. Jean achieved a wonderful moody effect by choosing just the right color schemes.

First start with a card the is 5.5″ by 4.25″ in size. Cut orange cardstock slightly smaller, layering onto black card front. Cut patterned paper smaller and layer onto black cardstock, trim, leaving a 1/16″ border. Mount onto orange cardstock. Stamp pupkins on orange cardstock, color with color pencils, and twinkling H2O’s. Cut pumpkins apart and set aside. Stamp and emboss haunted house onto patterned paper as shown. Layer pumpkins as shown onto card front. Pop up the smaller pumpkin with foam tape for added dimension. Stamp “trick or treat” onto orange cardstock. Color with black color pencil. Cut out each word at different angles. Layer onto black tag. Thread ribbon through tag and run along top of card as shown.

Jean had fun with the Swanky Witch clear tag. And you will to if you choose to make this card. First she started with a black card cut and folded to 5 by 5″. She then cut orange cardstock to fit within the black paper and adhered with brads in all 4 corners as shown. She cut a strip of patterned paper, 4.75″ by 2″ and layered onto black card stock, trimming closely. She centered onto the orange cardstock. She then stamped the phrase onto orange cardstock and trimmed to get a rectangular shape, mounted onto black cardstock, punched a hole and set both layers with an eyelet. She colored one witch tag on the back with alcohol based markers. She layered tag onto green patterned paper, then mounted to black cardstock. She set all into place with a black brad. To give a finishing touch to the card, she threaded a little bit of black and orange polkadot ribbon through the smaller tag.
